Road Tax As of 01.01.2026, all vehicles will be subject to a government road tax calculated per kilometer driven (6.95 ISK per KM). After the vehicle is returned, the tax will be calculated based on the applicable tax rate at the time and the total distance driven, and charged to the credit card selected as the payment method.
