Alquilar un coche en Tenerife es bastante cómodo, pero puede haber algunos requisitos específicos, especialmente para los conductores extranjeros.
- Forma de identificación: A valid physical Spain national photo ID is required for the main driver and any additional drivers.
- Permiso de conducir: The main and any additional drivers must present a full, physical Spanish driving license with no major endorsements. The license must generally have been held for at least 1 year; some offers require 2–4 years. If held for less than 4 years in certain offers, a young/new driver fee may apply. Spanish digital licenses may be accepted only when shown via the official DGT App, where explicitly stated.
Notas: Some locations charge a new/young driver fee when the license has been held under 4 years. In one offer, drivers with 1–3 years of holding pay about EUR 5.95 per day (capped), and in another, licenses held under 4 years incur about EUR 7.95 per day. For some vehicles (e.g., luxury/premium), higher minimum age and/or longer license holding periods may apply and will be shown during booking or advised before completion. Spanish digital driving licenses are accepted only if presented via the official DGT App, where specified.

Visa and Master are accepted on all offers; some locations also accept JCB, AMEX, Diners Club, Discover, UnionPay, and/or debit cards (Visa/Master) and, in a few cases, cash for some charges. Some offers accept a full Spanish license for foreign renters, including its official digital version via the DGT App where specified. Proof of collision/theft coverage from a credit card or insurer may be required in some offers; it must include the renter’s name or card details, coverage scope, validity dates, applicable countries, and vehicle types.
